Poitou-Charentes
Life August 26th, 2006Going home. Tomorrow. Good thing. Sick.
Poitou-Charentes started out well. The legs came around after a few tough races and I managed to sneak into a move of guys on the second stage that the race would be decided amongst. Went for a jump of the group 1k to go, held off to 100 meters. Finished last in the group. Good times. The next day was chill. Then that night I joined the club of sick guys on the team and started going downhill. The AM TT drove it well into the lungs, feelin’ good. Coughed up some good chunks of bloody flem. MMM. The afternoon was survival, but made it in, 3 seconds out of the top 10. I love being 4th, 6th, 11th, 16th, etc…
Homeward bound now. A day at home and then off for Nats. Hopefully a few days of f-all will get the body back in action.
Congrats to Ryan and Kat on their wedding day! Wish I were there with you guys. Cheers!
