Fast. Very fast.

Next year our team is under the banner of Slipstream Sports presented by Chipotle and when I swung by the office today the new american follow car was sitting out back. Pretty bad ass. Also a hint towards the new team kit that’ll be making an attempt to bring argyle into the world of pro cycling. If the car is indicative of the kits they’ll be sharp. Or they will be some of the most god awful kits ever worn (save the silver/seafoam of the Mercury days).
I’ve also recently started getting a good idea of what my first part of the year will look like. Currently I’m scheduled for camp in Julien, CA on the 13th, returning home the 4th (racing the Boulevard RR in socal that day with an 11 man squad:) and then back out to CA a few days before the Tour of California, February 18th-25th. Afterwards I think I’ll be off for Europe for a while before returning just before Philly week/Beauce. TBD.
Been logging some good miles at home for a while now with an ever expanding crew of cyclists basing themselves out of Boulder. When I first moved to town it felt like have the pros in the US lived here, then it tapered off a bit, and now the daily group rides are bumping well into the teens. Too big sometimes. Can only handle so much of training camp… Not a bad problem to have however - on those cold days when you can barely make it out the door you know that at least once you get to the coffee shop you’ve got company to share in the misery. With a big chill moving in over the mountains tomorrow afternoon and looking like it’ll be here for a few days those groups will come in handy.
