That previously mentioned coastline. Stunning. And damn remote. For the first 2 hours of this ride I only encountered 4 cars, all loaded up with surfboards.

A ho ho ho to all from sunny and warm Mexico. A bit of time in southern Baja is just what the doc ordered to soak up a big block of training now behind and recharge for the year ahead.
Wishing my little crew of readers (2? 3? 4?:) and all of your families a very Merry Christmas!

Despite a complete non-interest in the sport of baseball I’ve found myself captivated by all of the doping tales that have popped out in the past week. In some sort of sick way I can’t help but enjoy the fact that finally another sport, far larger here in the US than cycling, is getting smacked around a bit. Cycling, one of the most rigorously tested sports in the world, has taken such a beating for a few large doping stories(from a remarkably large pool of test samples), that to see pretty much all of the top athletes in a sport so fundamentally American (and un-controlled) get taken down seems somewhat satisf…y…ing.?. I guess the real question is will anybody really care down the road? Cycling has been smashed, but baseball? Time will tell. Regardless, pretty crazy reading and it’s always amazing to see the stupid things that people do revealed.
Now when does football, American, or European, get in the mix….? Nah, there’s still enough money there to keep things under wraps for a while.

Brr. Thanks Pearl! Timmy and I banged out 4 today and other than the descent were barely chilled. The downhill…well…yeah.
