A new Velonews.com Journal
Life June 25th, 2008A little bit about the tour selection and what’s ahead. During the Tour I’ll be writing a daily over on Velonews but will add links to each post here on missingsaddle as well. Thanks to everybody for the calls, emails, texts, and comment posts of support! Been an exciting day for sure.

Glad to hear you’re going to be updating us from France. That (”I wonder if he’ll be updating on the road”) was my second thought when I saw the Garmin-chipotle roster (my first was “damn, it sucks that both Tom D. and Dave Z. aren’t up to going”)

It’s amazing to see the kid who used to hang out and race with Andrew Wilkes is now going to the Tour. I had a blast riding with you guys back in Mass. Good Luck and remember to soak it all in.

Bill,
Think about it…..now, whenever that person, who knows next to nothing about cycling, says, “So, you race Bicycles huh……. Have you ever ridden that Tour DA-France”?You can now say “Yes, yes I have ridden the tour”!!!
You know how they say “the tour” takes years off your life…..does that mean you’ll be younger in Aug?? And why doesn’t Lance look 25? didn’t he do about 10 tours?

Frischkorn!!! Dude, I am so happy for you. Flashing back to the snowy days at the OTC when I would crack after 90 minutes on the rollers and you would do 5 hours between the rollers and the trainer and back to the rollers, day trading on your laptop the whole time! Cant tell you how cool it is to hear that you will be there!!
