Will,
I rode with you for Toby as a junior on Hot Tubes (you wouldn’t have seen me as I was at or off the back of the pack at most times). I’m blown away that you are in the big race, but so proud of what you are doing. Best of luck buddy.
whoo hoo… you were all over TV today! we’re all on stiches watching and hoping your breakaway sticks… great move on getting that breakaway from the Go!
Way to go Will! So close!!
I remember years ago when I was organizing the Shelby crit and you were one of the youngest riders in the race and touted as a big talent to watch for the future. It’s great to see you in the Tour now and having such success. Keep it up!
Congratulations Champ…I liked to see you in the escape and believed that you would earn the stage, but was for little.
will have new chances, is enough looks them…
Will,
AMAZING RIDE TODAY!! I grew up right down the street from you in Charleston and used to play with your sister. In fact I distinctly remember making cookies all day with your mom once. Anyway my husband and I cycle when we can, but med school gets in the way from time to time. I am just so proud of you and SO IMPRESSED! We send our very very best all the way from the US and we cant wait to see you on the podium!!!
Hey, Will! My mom, aunt, and I are following the Tour de France from start to finish this year (Mom’s fourth trip to the Tour, my third, my aunt’s first) while I’m working on a book about Tour fanatics. I just wanted to drop you a line to say that it was great to see you in that first group today — very exciting for us, and even more so for you, of course! We’ll be keeping an eye out for you over the next few weeks. If you see three women with a giant American flag on a wooden pole, that’s probably us!
WAY TO GO WILL!! I was glued to my computer all day and did nothing at work all morning haha!! Good luck with the recovery and good luck again tomorrow in the ITT!!
That style of riding takes courage heart and strength…And it will be rewarded…Reminded me of Voight and way back Kim Anderson…and your honesty and stand up post race was nice…..NEW FAN…
