Space Legs
Life July 7th, 2008Or that’s what we call these crazy things. Big ol inflatable “compression tights”. Hopefully they help:)
A journal just went up on velonews, and a huge thanks to everybody for the barrage of emails, texts, pins and calls! I’ll try and get back to everybody but on the blackberry it’s tough to keep track. Apologies in advance if I miss any. And thanks again!!!
This terribly important communication was sent wirelessly from the unit

WOW! Thanks for making what seemed like a boring flat stage absolutely thrilling!
July 7th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Nice work Will. I got pumped watching you kick ass while I was eating breakfast this morning. Keep up the great racing!

I watched you on Eurosport today, fantastic ride, was rooting for you to the end. Kept thinking, I read this guys blog! As a viewer it makes such a difference when you can make a link to the rider. You have inspired me to try harder at next weekends race! Congratulations on your result.

Congrats Will! It’s been great following your posts for the last year or so, and rooting for you and the team. Most of all, thanks for showing everyone that it is possible to compete and succeed while being clean.

Will…race the tour like you eat an elephant…one bite at a time. And savor every fork full.
Your disappointment about not winning today will bring you back hungrier than ever. But remember, had your career ended yesterday, you would have dreamed about about a day like today. You got it and every single American who stands behind you, will be pushing you along with prayers in the days ahead.

You inspired us all in Charlottesville today. Love from the Friedman family.
July 7th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Congratulations, Will! That was one great ride and made following the tour so much more exciting. Thought you’d like to know that your ride caused cycling to be noticed by the mainstream sports media, which happens so rarely. I saw the last 100 or so meters of the race on the local news sportscast here in DC tonight and they even did a “play by play” to the line. You can be sure they wouldn’t have even shown that much if you hadn’t been in the chase. Go, Will!

I love watching you race, it is much more enjoyable with you and your crazy breaks. Your fan club is growing leaps and bounds (along with the team’s). I look forward to seeing and hopefully meeting you in Kansas City at the Tour of Missouri in September.

Will, Congratulations on a great stage 3. And your picture is on the front page of the New York Times online edition! Good luck, and we are all rooting for you.

Will, thanks for being an inspiration. Great ride today, you made the US proud. A friend of mine asked me why I watch the tour if no one knows anyone since Lance left… I told him people now know Will Frischkorn.

July 7th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
Will — you were AMAZING today! Sorry for the late delay, but I just got back into town and watched the highlights. With all the rain and of course wind, hopefully those space legs will work or go the old fashioned way with a great massage and legs up. Don’t cha just have to pinch yourself that you’re racing the frickin’ Tour de France?! That’s hot!!
July 8th, 2008 at 4:28 am
